On August 24-25, within a pre-trip preparatory session the Director of Topchubashov Center, Rusif Huseynov,  delivered a presentation to the participants selected by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation Azerbaijan for an educational trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In his presentation, he provided the participants with comprehensive information about the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and how war broke out across the country from 1991 to 1995, followed by a discussion on post-war realities.

On the second day of the preparatory session, a screening of the film "Quo Vadis, Aida?" (Where Are You Going, Aida?) on the 1995 Srebrenica genocide was held under the Center’s researcher Gulkhanim Mammadova’s moderation. Subsequently, participants' expectations for the trip were collected, and information was provided about post-trip writing assignment.
