On September 18-20, research fellow of Topchubashov Center Mahammad Mammadov attended Dialogue for Future 2023 international networking conference on “The Future of Eastern Partnership: Empowering Democratic and Sustainable Civil Societies” organized by Wechange with support of German Federal Foreign Office. He participated in the panel discussion on "Analysing Geopolitical Shifts in South Caucasus".

Discussions revolved mainly around the geopolitical implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for foreign policy of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.

Azerbaijan’s growing geostrategic importance for the EU and Russia was mentioned and the ways this factor contributed Azerbaijan’s ability to solve its number one national security issue - reintegration of Karabakh Armenians - was elaborated in detail.
