On March 11-12, the first stage of the project "Being in the middle: women in the reconciliation process", initiated by researchers of the Topchubashov Center Gulkhanim Mammadova and Nigar Muzaffarova, was implemented. This project is being implemented in the framework of the “Peacebuilding through Capacity Enhancement and Civic Engagement: Phase 2” (PeaCE-2) program funded by the European Union under the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP). The main objective of the project is to contribute to the Women, Peace, and Security agenda in Azerbaijan, by studying the perspectives of experts and activists involved in peace-building processes, create content on these topics in the Azerbaijani language, and, most importantly, develop and share gender-sensitive knowledge and a new approach to reconciliation and women`s inclusion in peacebuilding processes.
