Topchubashov Center Director Rusif Huseynov has been selected as a fellow for the Fall 2026 CAMCA/Rumsfeld Fellowship, a prestigious leadership program jointly administered by the Rumsfeld Foundation and the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at the American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC).

Established in 2008, the CAMCA/Rumsfeld Fellowship is designed to support emerging leaders - accomplished professionals from government, academia, business, civil society, and media to strengthen regional networks, foster leadership, and promote cooperation across from Central Asia, the Caucasus, Afghanistan, and Mongolia (CAMCA region).

As part of the fellowship, participants usually take part in an intensive five-to-six-week program in the United States, featuring high-level meetings with senior policymakers, business leaders, academics, and regional experts. The fellowship provides participants with opportunities to exchange ideas, expand their professional networks, and engage in discussions on regional and global challenges.

Commenting on his selection, Rusif Huseynov expressed his gratitude to the organizers and noted that he looks forward to engaging with an outstanding cohort of fellows from across the CAMCA region.
