Maharram Akbarov

Maharram Akbarov is a Research Intern at Topchubashov Center. He is currently pursuing an MA in International Relations at the University of Warsaw. He holds a BA in International Relations in Warsaw, where his thesis examined the evolution of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Syria, from an armed insurgent group to a governing actor. He previously studied Sociology at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. His research interests include political economy of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), conflict studies, the South Caucasus, comperative regional economics.
